Fight Fire

ABOUT
Anything from training articles to calls that we have gone on in my area, to issues going on in the fire service around the country. Whatever I feel as important. I would also like a place to record calls to be able to look back on in twenty years or so. This isn't just limited to firefighting as a first responder it will also be covering ems.

[these are my opinions and they do not reflect on my department in anyway]

We did Search & Rescue training as well as Hazmat training (earlier in the day) at a refrigeration storage company today. They had an employee hide that we had to find as well as some Hazmat situations and took a tour of the building. It was maybe 8 degrees at the most in the actual freezers. They have over 19,000 gallons of Ammonia stored on site. It definitely makes you start thinking about what if’s and scene size up and scenarios if something major was to happen.
